As South by Southwest makes its European debut, it has revealed its stellar line-up of speakers. SXSW London brings together actor Idris Elba, wellness guru Deepak Chopra, singer Tems, former Fugees frontman Wyclef Jean, sports entrepreneur Joe Wicks, and comedian Katherine Ryan. Running from 2 to 7 June in Shoreditch, it focuses on creativity, culture, science and technology.
The Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and producer Tems has been announced as the festival’s first music headliner. She will take the stage on 5 June at the Troxy. Tickets go on sale on 4 March, and a reserved allotment is available exclusively for SXSW Platinum and Music Badge holders. Bringing her afrobeats and pop fusion to the stage, some of Tems' biggest hits include “Free Mind”, “Burning”, and “Fire” along with credits in the Black Panther movie.
SXSW London’s Screen Festival will present the first UK film retrospective of Grammy Award-winning artist and filmmaker Jenn Nkiru. Plus, a London premiere of her latest work, The Great North.
Abbey Road: Studio Four is also coming to SXSW London. The concept combines live music, conversations and immersive experiences. The themes cover music creativity, innovation and learning. Plus, SXSW London has unveiled its first wave of music partners, which includes BBC Introducing, BBC Asian Network, Black Lives in Music, Shubbak Festival and more.

The conference will feature an impressive lineup of headlining speakers, including Alex Hirschi, founder and creator of Supercar Blondie; Ben Lamm, co-founder and CEO of Colossal Biosciences; and Callum "Callux" McGinley, founder and creator of notwoways and After Party Studios. Renowned author and alternative medicine advocate Deepak Chopra will also take the stage, alongside Idris Elba, the acclaimed actor, filmmaker, philanthropist, musician, and founder of IE7 & The Akuna Group. Other notable speakers include James Vowles, team principal of Williams Racing; Jean-Michel Jarre, pioneering artist and electronic music innovator; Joe Wicks MBE, fitness coach, entrepreneur, and author; comedian Katherine Ryan; and award-winning producer and performer Wyclef Jean.
SXSW London, also known as South by Southwest, first started in 1987. The event is making its way from Texas to Shoreditch, and prides itself on its range of speakers. Previous guests include Amy Winehouse, Barack Obama, Deepak Chopra, Mark Zuckerberg, Meghan Markle and Steven Spielberg.
