BarbieLand will create an immersive experience in the West End.
Enter Barbie’s world. Secret Cinema is creating BarbieLand in London’s West End. Running for eight weeks in 2026, the final dates and details have not yet been confirmed. If you’d like to join the perfectly pink world, here’s what you need to know.
Following the Barbenheimer frenzy in 2023, Barbie is returning in full force. Who can forget the film, the Design Museum exhibition and that viral speech? Greta Gerwig’s Barbie became a cultural moment, transforming the doll into a cinematic event.

Starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, the film took place in the pastel-perfect world, and followed Barbie as she discovered that life outside the Dreamhouse was far more complicated. The film resonated with audiences, becoming a global box-office juggernaut and sparking widespread conversation.
Now, Secret Cinema is creating a large-scale immersive experience inspired by Gerwig’s hit film, developed in partnership with Mattel and Warner Bros. BarbieLand will be a life-sized world of plastic-fantastic escapism, aiming to recreate Barbie’s universe in full. Expect walk-through sets, interactive zones, live performances, themed food and drink, and plenty of opportunities for a selfie with Barbie and Ken.
Secret Cinema, founded by Fabien Riggall in 2007, set out to revolutionise the traditional cinema experience by combining screenings with immersive, live performances in secret locations. The tagline is “Be part of something bigger”. Its productions have spanned everything from Blade Runner to Star Wars. The team are also behind Lost, which is opening at the Odeon Covent Garden on Shaftesbury Avenue.
