Billy Elliot The Musical is coming to the Adelphi Theatre.
Get ready for a musical marvel. Billy Elliot The Musical is returning to the West End in London. Running from 12 February to 31 July 2027, it will take place at the Adelphi Theatre.
Billy Elliot The Musical brings together the original creative dream team, including director Stephen Daldry. The musical features a book and lyrics by Lee Hall, with music by Elton John.
Last year, the producers embarked on a nationwide search for young actors to take on the roles of Billy, Michael, and Debbie. During the original production, Tom Holland played Billy. The show was famously adapted from Stephen Daldry's film, in which the role was famously played by Jamie Bell.
Since its debut, Billy Elliot The Musical has been seen by over 12 million people worldwide. The show has won more than 80 international awards, including four Olivier Awards and ten Tony Awards.
Composer Elton John and director Stephen Daldry said: “Creating Billy Elliot The Musical was one of the most joyous and inspiring moments of our careers, so to bring the show back for a UK tour and a season in the West End for the first time in over a decade is both incredibly emotional and exciting. It’s bold, it’s British, it’s full of heart, and the story feels more relevant than ever. We can’t wait for a whole new generation to experience it!”
If you can’t wait, check out the tour. The tour starts at Sunderland Empire on 4 November, continues at the Palace Theatre Manchester from 2 December, and the Edinburgh Playhouse from 19 January 2027.
