Il Gattopardo is Mayfair's new upmarket Italian restaurant



Il Gattopardo opens on Friday, 6 October. 

Il Gattopardo will be a fine dining restaurant, which draws its inspiration from 1960s Italy. As the concept has been created by the team behind Amazónico, Bar De Pres and ROKA, we are expecting this to be a dining destination. The space will include a hidden courtyard terrace, and in true London-style, there will be a fully retractable roof. Plus, there is a private dining room for 14 guests on the lower ground floor. 

So far, we know that Il Gattopardo’s menu will include Italian classics with a modern twist. Executive Chef, Massimo Pasquarelli has previously worked with Alain Ducasse and at The Ritz-Carlton Singapore. He has created dishes, which reflect Italy and showcase Amalfi, Sicily and Southern Isles. 

Il Gattopardo’s menu spans starters, salads, pizza, pasta, fish, meat and more. The starters include Arancini, Bufala and Burrata. The salads range from Cavolo Riccio with kale, ricotta and pomegranate, to Polpo with octopus, celery and rocket. The pizzas include Caviale with smoked salmon, and Speck with taleggio cream and smoked speck. The pastas include a Carbonara, Cacio and Pepe, and Ravioli. Plus, there are family-style, sharing desserts including a Tiramisu and Zuppa Inglese.
