The London restaurant The Counter is expanding and opening a food meets listening bar. The Counter Soho is set to open on 14 May and will bring together flavours from the Levant and Mediterranean. So, if you’re after a night out with a difference, here’s what you need to know.

Counter Soho’s new venue will be located on Kingly Street near Carnaby Street. The menu will showcase traditional ocakbasi cooking, and open fire grill cooking. Drawing inspiration from the Aegean, the venue prides itself on high-quality, fresh ingredients.

What sets The Counter Soho apart is its listening bar. Located in the basement, the listening bar is fittingly called Under the Counter. The area can host up to 30 people, and is an intimate space for sounds and sips. Guests can listen to vinyl records, and enjoy creative cocktails. The drinks will range from the Artemis with clarified jasmine, lavender vodka, lychee and yellow chartreuse, to the Aegean Paloma with bitters, chilli, grapefruit soda and olive oil fat washed tequila.
