Overlooking the River Thames, it showcases female chefs.
Drinks, dining and DJs come together at Setlist, a new venue in Somerset House. Opening on 8 May, the venue champions live music. Located on The Strand, it will boast art installations and food from local female chefs – all in time for Somerset House’s 25th anniversary.
Overlooking the River Thames, Setlist at Somerset House will include a 50-metre-long pavilion. The space will welcome emerging artists and include one of the largest public painted artwork commissions in London. The inaugural commission will be painted by Brixton-based artist Farouk Agoro.
The team behind Setlist include James Dye, Thomas Kidd, Clement Ogbonnaya, Paul Smyth, and one of Somerset House’s long-standing creative residents, Makerversity. The female chefs will create a menu that represents the best of London. Plus, there will be pop-ups, guest chefs, and a BBQ series in the summer.

Opeoluwa Odutayo’s menu is inspired by growing up in Nigeria. Dishes include Jerk Chicken, Scotch Bonnet Mango Chutney, and Plantain Fritters. My Chale is a West African Wahala burger concept, and dishes range from Beef Wahala to Chicken Wahala. Sophie Wyburd prides herself on creating comfort food. She will team up with Wildfarmed and create a menu of light snacks, pizzettes and more.
Andrea Montes Renaud and Laura Copp are the duo behind Masafina. Dishes range from Baja Fish Taco with Mexican chilli and lime slaw, to Mushroom Tostada with salsa macha chilli oil, sun dried tomatoes, guac, and feta. Terri Mercieca is an award-winning pastry chef and founder of Happy Endings. It will serve soft serve, sorbet and sundaes.
Clement Ogbonnaya will be curating a programme of live music, DJs and events at Setlist inside Somerset House. Highlights range from vocalists and instrumentalists, Vibe Village, to the South London artists, Cloud X.
At the bar, Setlist will offer local London beers, wines, and cocktails. During the summer, guests can expect Margaritas, Negronis, Rum Punches and Spritzes. Plus, there will be a non-alcoholic menu with mocktails, and zero-alcohol beers as well as wines.
