Check out the Nigerian restaurant that Beyoncé helped support.

If it’s good enough for Beyoncé, then it’s good enough for us. Tottenham-based restaurant Chuku's was such a hit with the superstar, she donated £8,000 to the venue when it was struggling to pay its bills. Now, it has teamed up with Yard Sale and launched a jollof pizza, which has got us excited.

The Chuku’s and Yard Sale Lagos Heat Pizza is available at Yard Sale's Tottenham and Walthamstow restaurants. The offering is topped with spicy, smoked lamb, sweet fried plantain, and a jollof stew. The flavours include ginger, garlic, red onion, coriander and scotch bonnet. Plus, it includes Yard Sale’s house tomato sauce and fior di latte mozzarella.

Chuku’s bills itself as the world’s first Nigerian tapas restaurant. The concept was created in 2020 by the brother and sister duo, Emeka and Ifeyinwa Frederick. The idea for the pizza comes from their love of West African flavours, and their desire to bring jollof to a wider audience.

In June 2023, Chuku’s asked the public for funding to support the restaurant. The restaurant aimed to get 600 bookings in six weeks. The team surpassed their goals and received 800 bookings.

During Beyoncé’s Renaissance world tour, she aims to donate over £800,000 to businesses around the world. The BeyGOOD foundation supported Chuku’s, and helped it to not only survive but bring it to a wider audience.

The Lagos Heat pizza is available for a limited time only from 16 to 20 August.
