Set your alarms – tickets go on sale from 2 November.

Glastonbury Festival, the mega music event, is back in June 2024. If you want to get your hands on the sought-after tickets, then set yourself a reminder. Coach ticket packages go on sale on 2 November, and standard ticket packages go on sale on 5 November – and here’s how you can get your hands on them.

The next edition of the Glastonbury Festival will run between 26 to 30 June. The festival takes place on Worthy Farm, Somerset. The line-up has not yet been confirmed, but there are rumours that Coldplay and Dua Lipa will be at the event. Coldplay have played the festival four times, and currently have a gap in their European tour. Other names include Harry Styles, Madonna and Rihanna.

Glastonbury Festival tickets have faced criticism for their price, as they have risen by £75 since 2022. The tickets now cost between £200 to £360, and do not include accommodation, which ranges from camping to glamping.

Glastonbury Festival was started by Michael Eavis. The first event was held in 1970 and attracted 1,500 people. The original headliners included The Kinks, T. Rex and Wayne Fontana. Today, the event attracts more than 200,000 people and is an important date in the musical calendar.

The festival was originally known for its rock and roll headliners like David Bowie, Paul McCartney and The Rolling Stones. Over the years, they have mixed musical genres and welcomed Billie Eilish, Beyoncé Knowles and Jay Z (who famously performed Oasis’ Wonderwall). In 2023, the headliners included Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses and the final UK performance from Elton John.
