The British band Gorillaz have announced summer shows in London. Running from 29 August to 3 September, each show will see one of the group's albums performed in full. The show takes place in the Copper Box Arena in Stratford, East London.
The shows give you the chance to listen to Gorillaz's albums in all their glory. Catch Gorillaz on 29 August, Demon Days on 30 August, Plastic Beach on 2 September, and a mystery show on 3 September. The group are famous for being a digital band, and each show will recreate the album's original visuals.
The shows are part of the Gorillaz exhibition, House of Kong. Taking place at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, it will run from August 8 to September 3, 2025. The exhibition celebrates the Gorillaz's 25-year career, and gives you a chance to immerse yourself in the visuals of the unique group.
Gorillaz formed in 1998 and was created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. Damon is best known as the lead singer of Blur and went on to create this band with four fictional members. There's 2-D on vocals and keyboards, Murdoc Niccals on bass guitar, Noodle on guitar, keyboards and vocals, and Russel Hobbs on drums.
Over Gorillaz's career, they have sold more than 37 million records. They have won one Grammy Award, two MTV Video Music Awards and four MTV Europe Music Awards. The band's hit tracks include Clint Eastwood, Feel Good Inc, Stylo, Tomorrow Comes Today and Saturnz Barz.
Tickets to see Gorillaz in London go on sale on 30 May at 10am.
