The January show fuses the sounds of the Middle East and North Africa.

Put your hands in the air if you love electronic music. Well, we have some exciting news, as the French electronic group Acid Arab is coming to Electric Brixton. The concert takes place on 27 January, and looks set to be an exciting event.

Acid Arab consists of Guido Minisky, Hervé Carvalho, Kenzi Bourras, Pierrot Casanova and Nicolas Borne. In 2012, the group first formed with just two DJs and later expanded with more members. In France, they have made a name for themselves in the electronic music scene. The group’s sound fuses together elements of Eastern and Western music.

Acid Arab aims to create a cool contemporary space for Arab culture in the electronic music scene. The group honed their sound after being influenced by artists across the Middle East and North Africa – hence the name, Acid Arab.

Acid Arab’s albums include 2016’s Music of France, 2019’s Jdid, and 2023’s Three. The group’s songs include Ejma, Leila, Staifia and Stil. Over their career, they collaborated with a range of artists including A-Wa, Omar Souleyman, Rachid Taha and Sofiane Saidi. Plus, some of the songs are performed in Arabic dialects.

Electric Brixton is one of the leading nightlife venues in South London. The venue is also welcoming Tito Nieves on 20 January, Dorian Electra on 26 January, MC IG on 18 February, Mariah the Scientist on 20 and 21 February, Boombox on 24 February, and Korolva on 20 March.

Acid Arab at Electric Brixton tickets are available now. Tickets start from £20.
