Egyptian rapper Afroto has his fans excited. He has announced a European tour that will take him to Berlin, London, Milan, Paris, and Vienna in May. So, if you want to catch him in action, here’s what you need to know.

Afroto’s tour visits a range of European cities: Vienna on 25 May, London on 27 May, Paris on 28 May, Milan on 29 May and Berlin on 31 May. The London tour takes place at Village Underground in East London, and doors open from 7.30pm. He will be performing his latest hits, which combine his signature style of hip-hop and trap.

Ahmed Mohamed Abdelmageed hails from Alexandria, Egypt. He started his career by beatboxing and adopted the name Afroto. He would listen to other rappers and soon became confident enough to start performing himself. Despite his family objecting to his career path, he decided to pursue rapping and has made a successful career.

In 2016, he wrote, recorded and released his first single, Ahmed Ala Esm Geddi, and gained recognition in the rap community. His singles also include 7ala, Far2 Khebra, Msh Bel 7ozoz and Ultra Attack. His albums include Belad and San Stefano

Upcoming shows at Village Underground include Origins: Pangaea, Skee Mask and Marie Montexier on 22 March, Facesoul on 24 March, Hannah Laing on 29 March, and Ana Tijoux on 13 April.

Tickets to see Afroto’s European tour are available now and start from £43.10.
