The Garage’s event celebrates Arabic music and culture.

Party the night away at Hishek Bishek in The Garage. The club night takes place monthly in Highbury, North London, and celebrates Arabic music. The next event is on 2 March from 11pm to 4am, and here’s what you need to know. 

Hishek Bishek in The Garage brings together a range of music from the Arab world. The soundtrack includes Lebanese dancefloor hits, new underground releases from Egypt, and Palestinian electronic dabke. Expect to hear hits from Amina, Cheb Mami, Hisham Abbas, Hussain Aljassmi, Ruby, Saad El Soghayar and Tamer Hosny. Plus, the resident DJ is Super Mike’s key tracks range from Amr Diab’s Yetalemo to Hakim’s Beni Wa Benak

The Garage was originally built as a Temperance Billiard Hall, and was a famous spot for spectacular pies. The music venue first opened in 1993, and gained a reputation for showcasing indie and rock acts. Previous performers include Franz Ferdinand, Jack White, Mumford and Sons, Suede, Red Hot Chili Peppers, My Chemical Romance and The Killers. 

There are a range of exciting events at The Garage. In February, the line-up includes Anuv Jain on 25 February, and Stone on 29 February. In March, the line-up includes Espirit D’Air on 2 March, Camo on 3 March, Arc de Soleil on 6 March, Silk on 7 March, Greg Puciato on 8 March, Beans on Toast on 9 March, and Nu Metal Party on 16 March.
