The Grammy-winning icon leads a star-studded celebration.
Pride in London is back this summer. Now in its 53rd year, the capital’s landmark celebration of the LGBTQ+ community returns on Saturday, 5 July, transforming central London into a vibrant playground of unity and celebration. And the legendary soul singer and ten-time Grammy Award winner, Chaka Khan, will headline the Pride in London main stage in Trafalgar Square.
Known for her four-octave vocal range, Chaka Khan is a musical powerhouse whose career has spanned over five decades. She rose to fame as the lead singer of the legendary funk band Rufus, belting out iconic hits like Tell Me Something Good and Sweet Thing before embarking on a solo career in 1978. Her hits include I’m Every Woman and the Grammy-winning I Feel for You.
This year’s parade will see around 33,000 participants march through the capital, starting at Hyde Park Corner and passing through Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket, and Trafalgar Square, before finishing at Whitehall Place. Leading the march once again will be London Mayor Sadiq Khan, alongside more than 500 organisations from grassroots groups to major corporate allies.
Six stages will be spread across central London, showcasing over 100 performers, including DJs, dance troupes, spoken-word poets and activists. The 2025 line-up includes Eurovision winner JJ, fan-favourite Miriana Conte, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star La Voix, and Frankie Grande, brother of pop icon Ariana Grande.
More than 1.7 million people are expected to attend, cementing Pride in London as one of the biggest celebrations of its kind in the UK.
The Chaka Khan concert and Pride in London event are free to attend, with no ticket required. So whether you’re parading, partying or just soaking in the atmosphere, all are welcome.
