This event will mark the musical’s premiere in the West End.
There’s always tons happening in London — be it sampling the capital’s newest dining destination or enjoying one of the capital's many concerts. But if you're a fan of theatre, especially musicals, you’re in for a treat because Paddington The Musical is coming to London.
Set to open on 1 November at the Savoy Theatre, Paddington The Musical will bring one of Britain’s most beloved characters to life. Making its world premiere, you can expect songs, choreography and a few unexpected twists.
Paddington The Musical kicks off with a small bear arriving in London from Peru, looking for a new home. He soon finds himself with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens. But challenges arise, and it’s up to Paddington and his newfound family to stick together. And this time, you get to watch the story unfold in a whole new light.
For those unfamiliar, Paddington Bear made his literary debut in "A Bear Called Paddington" back in 1958. Written by Michael Bond, the book introduces the world to a polite little bear in a blue coat and red hat who loves marmalade.
Since then, Paddington has become a cultural icon. With 29 books translated into dozens of languages and over 35 million copies sold worldwide, he’s also starred in multiple TV adaptations and films. Now, he’s ready to conquer the West End stage.
Tickets for Paddington The Musical go on priority sale from 13 May, with general bookings opening on 15 May. Prices start at £25. This show is recommended for ages six and up, making it a perfect family outing.
So if you’ve grown up reading the books, laughed through the films, or are just looking for a feel-good theatre experience, Paddington The Musical is a show you won’t want to miss. Snag your seats, and remember to “please look after this bear”.
