The exhibition celebrates the iconic designer.
Strut on down to a new Gianni Versace exhibition. Running from 16 July to 31 December 2025, Gianni Versace Retrospective takes place at Arches London Bridge in the capital. The show celebrates the designer and displays the outfits worn across the catwalk and by celebrities.
Gianni Versace Retrospective will be the largest exhibition of its kind on the designer in the United Kingdom. The show brings together a creative collection of clothing, which spans the 1980s and 1990s. The items include outfits worn by Elton John onstage, Kate Moss on the catwalk, and Princess Diana after her divorce from King Charles. Plus, there will be original runway footage and interviews.

Gianni is part of the famous Versace family. He was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy. He grew up with his siblings, Donatella Versace and Santo Versace. He worked with his mother in a tailor’s shop and later moved to Milan. In 1978, he founded the Versace fashion brand. Today, Versace creates ready-to-wear clothing and accessories, and Atelier Versace creates haute couture.
Over Gianni’s career, he had a strong relationship with musicians. In his 1991 show, he used George Michael’s song Freedom for one of his catwalk shows. The catwalk show featured the same line-up of models from the original music video: Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington.

Gianni is behind some of the most iconic outfits on the red carpet. Elizabeth Hurley wore what became dubbed the Safety Pin Dress at the premiere for Four Weddings and a Funeral. It featured oversized safety pins, which held the sides of the dress together. Jennifer Lopez wore what was later called the Jungle Dress at the 42nd Grammy Awards. It was famous for its bright green colours and plunging neckline.
Priority access is available now for Gianni Versace Retrospective.
