The world tour is coming to the capital for one night only.

We have some news that is going to put a smile on your face. Filipino-American comedian Jo Koy is bringing his world tour to London. Fresh from his hosting duties at the 81st Golden Globe Awards, the show which forms part of his European tour will take place on Friday, 3 May. Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming show.

Jo Koy hails from Washington, United States. He dropped out of university to pursue stand-up comedy. He started performing in coffee houses in Las Vegas and landed a regular night at MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. He has appeared on shows ranging from Chelsea Lately to The Adam Coralla Show. Plus, he has created Netflix specials including Jo Koy: Comin in Hot and Jo Koy: Live from Seattle

During his career, Jo Koy has won the Stand-Up Comedian of the Year award at Just for Laughs comedy festival. He also topped the Billboard Charts for his stand-up comedy album, Live From Seattle.

Jo Koy is currently on a world tour, which is coming to cities including Abu Dhabi, Antwerp, Brisbane, Oslo, San Diego and Singapore. He will only be visiting London for one night only. We’re hoping he brings his signature satirical humour to the UK capital. He is known for his jokes about everyday events, especially around families and the Filipino diaspora.

FACT recently caught up with Jo Koy in Dubai, who explained: “Comedy is the rawest form of entertainment. It’s honest and genuine, and one thing I love about it is that it’s just like music. It’s the most universal language. Laughter and stories bring us together. Life is funny.”

Jo joins a long list of comedians who will be coming to the capital in 2024. Omid Djalili is coming to Cadogan Hall on 1 March, and Michael McIntyre is coming to The O2 in April.

Tickets for Jo Koy's European Tour are available now and start from £46.95
