The dishes and drinks draw inspiration from the colourful characters.
The Lanesborough, London, is causing a stir with its new afternoon tea. The Bridgerton Afternoon Tea will launch on 16 May, and has been created in partnership with Netflix and Shondaland. The experience pays homage to the Regency era and celebrates the launch of Bridgerton season three.
The Bridgerton Afternoon Tea will take place in The Lanesborough’s dining room and under a domed glass roof. The Lanesborough’s Head Pastry Chef, Pierre Morvan-Benezet, is the mastermind behind the menu, which pays tribute to the families in Bridgerton.
Colin’s Travel is dedicated to Colin Bridgerton and his love of travel. The dark chocolate sponge comes with caramel, dark chocolate mousse and dark chocolate ganache. The Social Butterfly draws inspiration from Penelope Featherington. The dish includes pistachio, mandarin mousse, gold leaf sprinkles and a biscuit base. The Lady Whistledown is a nod to the show’s narrator. This dish includes grapefruit and raspberry mousse encased in whipped Chantilly.
Friends to Lovers Cocktail is prepared with 1800 Coconut tequila, cherries and cranberry juice. The Blooming Wallflower Mocktail comes with cherries, raspberries, lemon and cranberry juice with a touch of sugar
Bridgerton is based on the book series by Julia Quinn, and the Netflix series first aired in 2020. Season three will premiere in two parts on Netflix. The first half launches on 16 May, and the second half premiers on 13 June.
The Bridgerton Afternoon Tea starts from £85 per person, £95 per person with The Friends to Lovers Cocktail or Blooming Wallflower; and £98 per person with a glass of Champagne. Plus, a children’s afternoon tea menu starts from £50 per person.
