Rosewood Doha is Qatar’s newest luxury address, combining bold architecture with curated experiences.

Back in 2024, during my very first visit to Qatar, I found myself on a leisurely drive around Lusail, soaking in the city’s skyline. As I cruised past the iconic building housing Fairmont Doha and Raffles Doha, my eyes caught a structure under construction. A honeycomb-like exterior that immediately piqued my curiosity, and I thought, “What is this going to be?” Fast forward two years, and that intriguing building had become the stunning Rosewood Doha.

Rosewood Doha is perfectly positioned in the Marina District of Lusail, along the waterfront, offering views of both the Lusail Marina Corniche and the Arabian Gulf. Whether you’re strolling along the marina or simply enjoying the view from your room, the hotel blends urban access with serene surroundings.

Rosewood Doha

Rosewood Doha is designed by Qatari architect Ibrahim M Jaidah, and the property is impossible to ignore. Its coral-inspired facade rising between sea and city pays tribute to Qatar’s marine heritage. Jaidah, a sailor himself, envisioned that the hotel that felt like it was born from its environment.

The interiors take cues from dhow boats and seashells. Expect to see the use of textures and subtle materials with a sandy hue throughout Rosewood Doha. Art is celebrated in Qatar, so works by famous local artists can be spotted as well, adding to the hotel’s ethos of being rooted in heritage.

Rosewood Doha

Rosewood Doha comprises two towers with 155 rooms and suites, 162 fully serviced apartments, and 276 Rosewood Residences. Some keys even come with private gyms and mesmerising views of the Arabian Gulf or Lusail City.

FACT checked into the Junior Lusail Suite, and it immediately impressed. The entry foyer features textured beige wallpaper balanced with warm wood panelling and soft wooden floors, leading you through a corridor-like passage into the suite. To the left is a large walk-in closet that auto-illuminates, and a full-length mirror, while opposite sits the bathroom with his-and-hers vanities, matte marble finishes, and silver fixtures. The bathtub is perfectly positioned to soak in sea views and glimpses of the second tower, and the private shower area comes with dual showerheads.

The main room opens to a dedicated dressing area, a generously stocked minibar accented by a textured green feature wall, and a cosy seating corner overlooking the sea, the promenade, the ice rink, and the Raffles and Fairmont Doha buildings.

The bed ties the room together with a woven headboard, intentionally mismatched side tables, a hanging bedside lamp, and a textured teal carpet underfoot. Framed by the hotel’s facade, the view adds a playful, slightly mysterious edge that makes the stay feel special.

Dining at Rosewood Doha is an experience in its own right, with eight restaurants and lounges. Mila serves Levantine-Mediterranean cuisine, whereas Koo Madame transports you to 1920s Shanghai with Chinese cuisine. For drinks, Stoke and Stoker is the hotel’s signature bar, and The Butterfly Room serves as an elegant all-day lounge. If you're looking to unwind with views of the sea, you can head to the Shisha Terrace or Sikar for a more intimate setting. The Asaya Kitchen provides a wellness-focused dining option, and if you’re staying in the Club Rooms and Club Suites, the Manor Club Executive Lounge at the rooftop adds an extra layer of indulgence for your dining preferences.

Asaya is Rosewood Doha’s signature wellness concept, referred to as the Social Wellness Club. is a This sanctuary for physical, emotional, and mental balance features three pools, a state-of-the-art gym and private treatment rooms. Complementing Asaya, the hotel also hosts Duck & Dry, a London-based salon, ensuring every aspect of well-being and grooming is covered.

And while Asaya is undoubtedly a standout at Rosewood Doha, the true seasonal showstopper has to be the outdoor ice rink. Open only during Qatar’s cooler months, this alfresco rink offers an unexpected experience.

From its breathtaking facade to a holistic wellness experience, every detail at Rosewood Doha has been thoughtfully crafted.
