The news comes after its plans for Wynn Resorts in the UAE

It looks like it might be a win for Wynn Resorts. The company has announced that it will acquire the members-only casino in London, Crown London Aspinalls. Located in Mayfair, the acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals. Upon completion, it is scheduled to open in the second half of 2025.

Crown London spans two townhouses on Curzon Street. It includes 20 gaming tables, a restaurant and a lounge. Wynn Resorts CEO, Craig Billings, explained: "This acquisition of an iconic asset offers us a presence in a global gateway city and will create a conduit for Wynn guests to visit our resorts, particularly Wynn Al Marjan Island which is slated to open in the first quarter of 2027 in Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates."

Wynn Resorts owns and operates Wynn Las Vegas, the Wynn Macau and Palace in China, and Encore Boston Harbour. The company is currently constructing an integrated resort in the United Arab Emirates. Scheduled to open in 2027, FACT's Editor-in-Chief was invited to see a preview of the Ras Al Khaimah resort, which was carefully curated in Las Vegas.

The Al Marjan Island resort will be the first resort of its kind in the Middle East. The project has been created in partnership with Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding. The resort will offer 1,542 rooms as well as suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, bars, a theatre, a nightclub, and a beach club. Plus, the island will feature multiple swimming pools, private cabanas, and a five-star spa.
