The horror classic will take London’s stage by storm.

London, brace yourself because Paranormal Activity is crossing over from screen to stage. Following a successful premiere at Leeds Playhouse last summer, Paranormal Activity: A New Story Live on Stage is set to chill audiences at The Ambassadors Theatre in Covent Garden. The 12-week run kicks off on Friday, 5 December 2025, and will run until Saturday, 28 February 2026.

Directed by Felix Barrett, the visionary behind immersive theatre pioneers Punchdrunk, this horror adaptation is a bold reimagining of the found-footage franchise that changed the game for modern horror. Known for its spine-tingling atmosphere and slow-burning dread, the Paranormal Activity films terrified global audiences and grossed over $193 million. Now, the terror comes to life in the most intimate setting yet: live theatre.

The new storyline follows a couple, James and Lou, who relocate from Chicago to London in a bid to escape their troubled past. But their fresh start quickly unravels as supernatural forces begin to stir — and it becomes terrifyingly clear that it’s not the house that’s haunted, but them.

This production leans into what the original films did best — psychological tension, eerie minimalism, and hair-raising suspense — while using the stage to introduce a new level of immersive storytelling. Expect unsettling stillness, sudden shocks, and a creeping atmosphere that lingers long after the final scene. Or as the creators put it: “an unsettling intimacy only theatre can provide.”

Joining a growing trend of film-to-stage adaptations (like The Hunger Games: On Stage, which arrives in October), this is one theatrical event you won’t want to miss.

Tickets are on sale now, starting from £25, plus a £3.95 transaction fee.
