The Prince Edward will reopen with a new look.

London is home to special pubs from around the world, and now it is set to welcome the return of The Prince Edward. Located in Notting Hill, it will be given a new lease of life. The pub has been closed since February, and is set to open before the end of the year.

The team behind Julie’s, loved by FACT and locals in Holland Park, is gearing up for an exciting new venture. The pub is set to reopen, but the exact date has not yet been confirmed. As for the name, it has not yet been confirmed if it will be called The Prince Edward.

Leading the project is Julie’s owner Tara MacBain, chef patron Owen Kenworthy, and general manager Rupert Walsh. Guests can expect seasonal British produce, comfort food, and pub favourites, from fish and chips to a Sunday roast.

The team are aiming to create an all-day dining experience, from coffees in the morning to beers in the evening. Drinks will be at the heart of the experience, with a selection of draught beers from both independent brewers and famous names. Plus, guests will be able to sip their way through classic cocktails and European wines.

Designed by Rosanna Bossom, the space will celebrate the venue’s original historic features. Dating back to the 19th century, it boasts a Victorian façade and preserved original interiors. Tara said: “The Prince Edward already has history, character and a loyal local following. Our role isn’t to reinvent it beyond recognition, but to restore its heart.”

If you can't wait, head over to the sister concept, Julie's, which is located on Portland Road. The celebrity favourite celebrates British produce and French influences. Dishes include Duck confit, Moules au Roquefort and Sole Meunière.
