BMW’s flagship sedan receives a bold design update, crystal headlights and a cinema-style rear screen.

BMW has unveiled the new 7 Series, bringing a sharper sense of occasion to its flagship luxury sedan. Long regarded as one of the brand’s most technologically advanced models, the latest update blends BMW’s executive-car heritage with design ideas inspired by its Neue Klasse direction.

The result is a car that feels familiar, but far more futuristic. From the outside, the new BMW 7 Series adopts a more sculptural look, with cleaner surfaces, a stronger stance and a front end designed to make an immediate impression. The updated fascia features a deep recess around the BMW roundel, creating a more integrated flow between the bonnet and bumper.

At the centre of the design is the illuminated ‘Iconic Glow’ kidney grille, which gives the sedan a dramatic presence on the road. It is flanked by new crystal headlights featuring Swarovski glass elements, adding a more luxurious finish to the front of the car. The approach is bold, polished and unmistakably BMW.

Inside, the BMW 7 Series continues to lean into comfort, technology and rear-seat luxury. The highlight for passengers is the BMW Theatre Screen, a 31.3-inch, 8K panoramic display that folds down from the headliner. Designed to turn the rear cabin into a private cinema, the screen is paired with digital functions that make the car feel as suitable for work as it is for relaxation.

The front cabin has also been reworked. BMW has introduced a redesigned steering wheel with a more minimalist look, while haptic controls connect with the brand’s new Panoramic iDrive system. A display stretching across the base of the windscreen replaces the traditional gauge cluster, creating a cleaner and more digital driver environment.

Passengers also benefit from digital controls integrated into the armrests, offering easy access to comfort and entertainment settings. Meanwhile, the digital rear-view system ensures the driver retains visibility when the rear screen is in use.
