Rosewood Hong Kong was named the best hotel in the world.
The World’s 50 Best Hotels has unveiled its 2025 ranking at a ceremony at Old Billingsgate in London. FACT was honoured to attend the event and join hoteliers from around the world in celebrating. Rosewood Hong Kong took the top spot, rising from third place in 2024 to first in 2025.
Now in its third year, The World’s 50 Best Hotels aims to celebrate innovation and excellence in global travel. The United Kingdom claimed five winning properties, and London claimed four: Claridge’s at number 16, The Connaught at number 29, Raffles London at The OWO at number 31. The Emory was a new entry at number 32, and Estelle Manor was a new entry at number 47.

Asia led this year’s list with 20 hotels, followed by Europe with 17 hotels, and North America with six hotels. Africa featured three, Oceania featured two, and South America featured two. Bangkok and Hong Kong each included three top-ranked hotels. Atlantis The Royal in Dubai ranked sixth and earned the title of Best Hotel in the Middle East.
Four Seasons won the Ferrari Trento Most Admired Hotel Group award. Hospitality visionary Ian Schrager received the SevenRooms Icon Award. Among the standout winners, Passalacqua in Lake Como at number four retained the Best Boutique Hotel Award. Desa Potato Head in Bali, at number 18, earned the Eco Hotel Award for its sustainability initiatives. Mandarin Oriental Qianmen in Beijing, at number 14, claimed the Nikka Best New Hotel Award. Royal Mansour in Marrakech climbed to 13th place, earning the title of WhistlePig Highest Climber.
