The restaurant occupies the former site of Whitley’s department store.
Six Senses London has already been causing a buzz. Now, it has confirmed that Whiteley’s Kitchen, Bar and Café will open its doors on 1 March 2026. Located in Bayswater, London, the restaurant offers a modern take on British dining. FACT got a sneak peek inside the venue and can confirm that it is well worth the excitement.
Designed as a welcoming neighbourhood restaurant, Whiteley’s Kitchen, Bar and Café is a place to drop in, linger a little longer and return time and again. Refined yet relaxed, it celebrates seasonality and the simple pleasure of eating well.

Inspired by the spirit of the original Whiteleys department store, the restaurant revives its role as a local meeting point. Whether you’re arriving for a morning coffee or evening drinks, the space is designed to suit every occasion. Guests can choose from the café, dining room, bar or courtyard. The menu champions vegetable-forward, modern British cooking and is guided by the Anglo-Celtic calendar and the natural rhythms of the year.
The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Eliano Crespi alongside Head Chef Jose Jara. The pair share a love of bold, balanced flavours, with dishes designed as generous sharing plates. Fermentation plays a supporting role, with house-made ferments and preserves adding depth and character. At the bar, cocktails follow the same seasonal philosophy and are available with or without alcohol.

Six Senses London will make its highly anticipated UK debut by transforming the historic Whiteleys department store into its new home. Scheduled to open in March 2026, the site will feature a range of restaurants and bars, from Eddie to Nela. Effie will showcase food inspired by the Aegean coast, while Nela has been created by chefs Hari Shetty and Ori Geller.
