Taverna Ermou first opened in Athens and is now expanding to Marylebone.

Taverna Ermou is bringing its culture and cuisine from Athens to London. On 21 March, it will open in Marylebone and showcase hearty Greek cooking. Created by the Greek hospitality group ERGON, here’s what to expect.

Founded in 2008, ERGON’s portfolio celebrates Greek culinary heritage around the world. With a growing presence across Cyprus, Greece, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, the group has built a collection of restaurants that share the best of Mediterranean culture, flavours and lifestyle. It also boasts a portfolio of more than 600 artisanal products and 30 company-owned and franchised restaurants.

Set across one floor, Taverna Ermou can accommodate up to 100 guests and spans 2,500 square feet. The team aims to bring the authentic taste of Athens to London and share the story that began on Ermou Street in Athens. The design draws inspiration from the Greek capital and features raw materials and warm textures. Expect a bright and airy space with white, blue and brown accents, and an emphasis on natural wood. The venue hopes to bring a community spirit and warmth to the Marylebone neighbourhood.

The menu stays true to Greek culinary tradition, honouring classic recipes prepared with care. Curated by Culinary Director Panagiotis Xanthis, the offering is what the team call a “fish soul”. Guests can enjoy handmade cold and warm dips, meze, salads, pastas and desserts. The original menu boasts a range of dishes, including Butterfly Grilled Sea Bass, Grilled Sardines, Seafood Pasta, and desserts range from Profiterole to Yoghurt Panna Cotta.
