Mediterranean vibes are washing up in London, thanks to Chintemani restaurant in Chelsea. Now open, the concept gives Turkish cuisine a contemporary twist and has got our stomachs rumbling.

The name Chintemani derives from a phrase referring to wish fulfilment. It highlights the power of manifesting desires to achieve spiritual abundance and enlightenment. The Bemse Group is behind the restaurant, and can count a range of concepts to its name. The group’s portfolio includes a chocolate shop, Italian eatery, and Turkish restaurants across Turkiyë and New York.  

Chintemani

The menu spans spreads and butter, hot and cold small plates, sourdough pide, big plates (which can be shared between two), seafood, bar snacks, sides, and desserts. Dishes include Aged Feta, Watermelon and Cantaloupe Salad; Couscous Prawns with paprika butter; and Entrecôte Döner Bites with tomato sauce and garlic yoghurt dip.

Take your pick from a range of sourdough pides, which include the Pacana with spicy sucuk, kashkaval cheese, and egg yolk. Dishes also include Kale Tabbouleh with caramelised goat’s cheese and Granny Smith apple; Olive, Tomato, and Za’atar Hummus; Potato Shakshuka with smoked garlic yoghurt and black garlic aioli; Tantuni on pide with isot aioli; and Tahini Piyaz with homemade meatballs. Plus, desserts include Liquid Nitrogen Turkish Maraş Ice Cream with peanut butter cookies.

Chintemani

The drinks menu ranges from a Turkish Coffee Martini with vodka to the Turkish Mule with lime, ginger and ginger ale. Plus, there is a Coconut Cooler, Pear Martini, and Tomatini.
