Vesper by Jackson Boxer will open in May.

Celebrated chef Jackson Boxer has announced that he will open the new restaurant, Vesper. Located on Exmouth Market, it is named after the Roman word for the evening star, Venus. Scheduled to open in May, here’s what to expect.

Following the success of Dove in Notting Hill, Vesper in Exmouth Market marks Jackson’s next chapter. Dove garnered critical acclaim – including from FACT – and the chef is hoping to do the same with his next venture.

Located on the corner of Exmouth Market, Vesper can accommodate up to 70 people. Designed by Jermaine Gallacher, the space pairs understated charm with character. The space will include timber-framed floor-to-ceiling windows, a candlelit dining room and a bar. Plus, the terrace is a superb spot for some people-watching.

He explained: “In Vesper we want to build a fitting tribute to London, the greatest city in the world – naturally cosmopolitan in outlook, fiercely proud of its native produce, at ease in its own unique skin, confidently hospitable to all. Offering grown up pleasure and childlike joy; a restaurant for the city we want to live in."
