Located in the City of London, Bulbul draws inspiration from India's regional cuisine.
London is home to a wealth of innovative Indian restaurants, from homegrown brands to celebrity chefs. In the summer, it is set to welcome Bulbul, which will be located on Tudor Street in the City of London.
Situated near Blackfriars and St Paul’s Cathedral, Bulbul aims to offer a fresh and joyful take on London’s dining scene. The concept has been created by chef and restaurateur Rohan D’Souza and Twinkle Keswani, who was named Young Restaurateur of the Year by The Economic Times. Inspired by a spirit of curiosity, the founders travelled across India and learnt from regional cooks, home kitchens and local markets.

Bulbul’s menu celebrates lesser-known recipes and techniques, as well as dishes designed to be shared and savoured. The cocktail menu, Flight of Bulbul, takes guests on a journey across India, with each drink inspired by a different region, ingredient or culinary tradition.
The Forest Pepper Crab Dosa brings together a Tamil Nadu-style dosa filled with crab and coated in a forest pepper masala, served with house pickles. The Goan Shrimp Balchão pairs slow-aged shrimp with melba toast. The Murgh Mussallam offers Mughlai chicken, gently slow-cooked with spices, while the Nilgiri Beef Short Rib Korma is infused with coriander and mint.

Bulbul’s design draws inspiration from Indian forests. The space is brought to life through bold design, layered textures and contemporary art. Created by Mumbai-based Right Brain Design Studio, the interiors have a theatrical feel. There is also a private dining room, which can accommodate up to 10 guests.
