Enjoy a fresh take on Mediterranean cuisine.

Richmond, renowned for its roaming deer and riverside charm, will welcome a new restaurant. Now, the team behind the popular Gold in Notting Hill are opening Tower House. Scheduled to open in November, it is housed in a mid-19th-century clock tower on the edge of the River Thames.

Tower House promises a fresh take on modern Mediterranean cuisine, and looks set to complement its stunning surroundings. The menu will focus on seasonality, simplicity and open-fire cooking, and create a warm, intimate and inviting atmosphere. Executive Chef Theo Hill has curated the menu that reimagines ingredients while staying true to the seasonality and simplicity. Dishes include chargrilled vegetables, hand-rolled pasta parcels, and whole turbot roasted over wood fire.

Theo explains: “We simply wish to show as much consideration as we possibly can towards the best produce available. The aim is always to cook with fire in an unforced and harmonious way, which allows the ingredients to speak for themselves.”

The setting is a destination in itself. Queen Victoria once used Osborne House, with its clock tower, as her coastal residence, and the interiors feature heirloom collectables and hand-crafted objects. Guests can enjoy the scenery from an alfresco garden terrace or the glasshouse dining room – perfect for an Insta-worthy meal with a view. Outdoors, the Riverside Garden offers sweeping views of the Thames and its curve. Tree-lined streets lead to notable landmarks, including Richmond Bridge and Twickenham Bridge.

Tower House restaurant comes from the same team behind Gold in Notting Hill. The stylish neighbourhood spot on Portobello Road is known for its wood-fired, seasonally led sharing plates, lively bar and a superb selection of natural wines.
