The third outpost of this luxe East Asian eatery will open in July.
Anchored in Art Deco elegance, Shanghai Me is famed amongst Dubai diners for its delicate East Asian dishes, so it was only a matter of time until London got its very own outpost. Situated in the heart of Mayfair, the first Shanghai Me location outside the Middle East will open at the London Hilton on Park Lane this July. Taking over the space formerly occupied by Galvin at Windows for the past 18 years.
For the uninitiated, renowned Chef Izu Ani is at the helm of Shanghai Me's culinary operations. Influenced by centuries-old recipes, the menu takes diners on a journey across Asia, adding a playful twist to traditional dishes such as Braised Beef Short Rib Shanghai Style, Sesame Prawns on Toast, and Tiger Prawns in Chilli Sauce. Merging ancient cooking techniques with beloved flavours, expect inventive dishes such as Cantonese-style Roast Duck with Foie Gras and Caviar, Spicy Bluefin Tuna Oshizushi and Yellowtail Carpaccio with Black Truffle. The decadent Shanghai Me Fortune Cookie predicts a delicious future and a sweet ending for all.

Shanghai Me lands in the highest restaurant space in Mayfair. The rooftop has long been a legendary vantage point, offering vistas that sweep across Buckingham Palace Gardens, Hyde Park, the River Thames, and some of London’s most recognisable landmarks. Inspired by 1930s Shanghai, the new location will showcase the glamour and depth of Shanghai's history through exquisite interiors and Art Deco elegance. The space will seat 120 guests and include two private dining rooms, while Bund Lounge will keep the energy flowing into the early hours with curated cocktails, elevated bar bites, and live DJ sets.

Chef Izu is no stranger to London. His restaurants GAIA London and La Maison Ani London can already be found in the capital. GAIA London is a Greek-meets-Mediterranean concept situated in Mayfair, while La Maison Ani London is a French-Mediterranean concept located in Knightsbridge. Drawing inspiration from Chef Izu's travels, Alaya pays tribute to the richness of the Middle Eastern region and is also expected to open in London soon.
