Opening in November, the Akyuz brothers have created Nora.

London is home to cuisines from around the world, and now Nora is set to showcase Turkish food on West Lane, Canary Wharf. Scheduled to open on 27 November, the restaurant will be helmed by Daniel Alt in the kitchen.

The same team behind Café Beam, brothers Ozgur and Sidar Akyuz, are creating Nora. Chef Daniel previously worked as Executive Head Chef at The Barbary. Drawing inspiration from Istanbul, the concept pays homage to mangal cookery and traditional street food. The dishes trace their roots back to the Ottoman era, offering modern interpretations of classic recipes.

Daniel and his team have not yet revealed the full menu for Nora, but they will create a range of dishes, from freshly baked breads to mezzes. Expect Grilled Bazlama, Sesame and Caraway Pide, and dips such as Hummus with house sucuk and pine nuts.

Other highlights include Crab Rice Dolma with preserved tomato and white carrot foam; Hellim with smoked olive oil and Epping honey; Leek Manti with hen of the woods and aged kaşar cheese; and Spiced Lamb börek with sivri pepper yoghurt.

The wine list will celebrate winemaking across Anatolia, with varieties that connect Greece to Georgia and showcase historic vintages.
