MRBL is set across two floors in Leadenhall Market.

If you love a marbled steak, you’ll be excited to hear about MRBL in London. The new concept is bringing a sophisticated steakhouse to Leadenhall Market. Set across two floors, it will host up to 75 people and includes a private dining room, main dining room, and outdoor terrace overlooking the market and Victorian architecture. Scheduled to open in March, here’s what to expect.

MRBL showcases steak and wine. Executive Chef Matt Colk is at the helm of the kitchen. He has previously worked at Aviary Rooftop and Restaurant, Fish Game and The Gun Pub. Now, he’s turning his hands to the steakhouse, MRBL.

The meat is sourced from the award-winning HG Walter, with cuts selected for marbling, depth, quality, and provenance. The native-breed beef is slow-reared, grass-fed, and aged with Himalayan salt. The cuts are then cooked over charcoal for a rich, smoky finish.

The menu celebrates the British larder and includes Slow-Braised Rump Croquettes. Chateaubriand and porterhouse are designed for sharing and served with flavoured butters and classic sauces. Sides include Beef-Fat Triple-Cooked Chips, Crisp Hash Browns with black garlic aioli, and Marrow Mash.

Mains include Grilled Monkfish Tail and Roast Chicken from the charcoal grill. Desserts include Apple Pie with custard and Burnt Lemon Tart. There is also a dedicated martini-and-fries menu, as well as a lunchtime steak sandwich with smoked cheese and Guinness onions.

MRBL will be open seven days a week. Check in with FACT for the best things to do in London.
