The father-and-son duo brings splendid seafood to The Donovan Bar.
It's the good news seafood lovers have been waiting for: from 18 June to 14 September, Mitch and Ben Tonks from The Seahorse in Dartmouth will be running a summer residency at the coveted Brown’s Hotel. Located in Mayfair, London, they will take over the FACT Dining Award-nominated The Donovan Bar.
The dynamic father and son duo run one of the country’s top seafood restaurants, and for three months, Londoners will have local access to their renowned cuisine.
The menu will feature a wide variety of dishes, each paired with special cocktails created by the team at the Donovan Bar, led by Salvatore Calabrese and Federico Pavan. Highlights include Sea Bass Crudo paired with the Peach Bellini Colada, Spider Crab with the Highball 24, and Scampi Con Saor served alongside the Dolce Negroni.

All of the seafood will be sourced from Brixham Fish Market or day boats, making this a wonderful opportunity to support sustainable fishing and the environment, all while enjoying a memorable meal in London.
Mitch Tonks is an award-winning British restaurateur, chef, author, and advocate for sustainable seafood. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, he began his career as a fishmonger in 1996 before opening The Seahorse in 2008. Widely regarded as the epitome of coastal dining, the restaurant offers Italian-inspired dishes alongside high-quality seafood.
Mitch said: "It's a real honour to bring favoured dishes from The Seahorse to The Donovan Bar – inspired by my travels around the Mediterranean and the coast of northern Spain."
This certainly isn’t one to miss – but be sure to book The Donovan Bar in advance.
