Enjoy chocolate free from refined sugar, seed oils, wheat and dairy.
The sweet taste of Lebanon has landed in London. The artisan chocolatier, Makers, has opened on Old Church Street in Chelsea. If you have a sweet tooth and don’t want to feel guilty about indulging, here’s what you need to know.
Makers London founder, Noor Freiha, has loved chocolate her whole life and set out to create a healthy chocolate shop. After graduating with a degree in Chemical Engineering, she taught herself to make chocolate at home. The aim is for consumers not to feel guilty about enjoying the taste of the confectionery and feel good in the process.

At Makers London, the team takes pride in offering chocolate that is 100% dairy-free and free from refined sugar, seed oils, and wheat. At the helm of the kitchen is the Belgian chocolatier and pâtissier, Alexandre Vandale, who brings a traditional approach to chocolate making.
Makers London offers a wide range of products to suit all tastes. The selection includes baked goods, bonbons, candy bars and spreads. Plus, the cafe serves hot chocolate on tap and soft-serve ice cream.
When it comes to the whole experience, Noor has drawn from her Lebanese heritage. Makers London boasts a traditional décor, which draws inspiration from Lebanon. The entrance features mosaic patterns on the floor that spell out the shop's name. The interior space boasts brightly coloured cushions, floral ceilings, patterned wallpaper, vases on the shelves, and plates on the wall. Plus, there are plenty of plants that add extra colour.
