The new restaurant is located on the Strand.
London is home to cuisines from around the world. Now, it has welcomed an Indonesian restaurant, Le Nusa. Located at the Strand, here’s what to expect from the new concept.
Nusa means "archipelago," and the concept aims to draw inspiration from Indonesia's diverse regions. The interiors also pay homage to the country, featuring batik patterns, woven textiles, Javanese-carved wooden screens, and suntiang (golden headdresses) throughout the space.

At Le Nusa, traditional Indonesian dishes are given a modern twist. Small plates include Gulai Kale, a kale dish in a coconut broth with turmeric, galangal, and lemongrass; and Terong Goreng Balado, fried eggplant in a red chilli paste with crispy shallots.
The menu also includes Bebek Sambal Andaliman, a pan-seared duck breast with green chilli and andaliman pepper; Soto Betawi, a coconut milk broth with ox tongue, tomato and melinjo crackers; and Udang Jeruk Bali, prawns with pomelo, lime and chilli. Mains include Tongseng Kambing, a Javanese-style lamb shank curry, and Se’i Sapi, a smoked brisket with sambal luat and fresh basil. Plus, if you're after an extra kick, there is a range of sauces to accompany your meal.

Dessert is just as exciting at Le Nusa. The highlights include the Deconstructed Kolak Pisang, a caramelised banana, pandan, coconut milk and coconut ice cream; and Pisang Goreng, which comes with cookies, coconut ice cream, banana fritters and palm sugar.
If you're heading to the West End, you're also in luck. Le Nusa also offers a pre-theatre menu, with two courses for £32 or three for £39.
