A soulful new dining destination lands in Chelsea, just in time for summer.
London's ever-evolving dining scene is about to welcome a stylish new addition. Kora in Chelsea, named after the Greek word Kore, meaning daughter or maiden, will officially open its doors on 8 July, taking over the ground floor of Beaufort House on King's Road. With its elegant interiors, vibrant menu, and sun-drenched Mediterranean soul, Kora is poised to become one of London's must-visit openings this summer.
Taking over the former brasserie space, Kora reimagines the classic Mediterranean dining experience with a distinctly modern rhythm. Behind the pass is Executive Head Chef Sasha Ziverts, best known for his previous role at Wright Brothers, who now brings his refined yet rustic approach to this new culinary venture.
The menu at Kora features elegant updates on regional staples, including BBQ Turbot, Charred Lamb Shoulder, Red Mullet Crudo, Saganaki Prawns and Yellowtail Kingfish. For dessert, dishes like Dark Chocolate Mousse with olive oil and tahini and Sesame Ice Cream bring earthy depth to sweet finishes. Every plate is designed to evoke the Ionian coast, from its ingredients to its plating.
Kora in Chelsea stands out not only for its flavour-forward menu, but also for its prime location. While the Mediterranean trend continues to ripple across the capital, Kora finds breathing space in Chelsea, where few are doing this style of cuisine at this level. The interiors, finished in calming olive tones and natural textures, further the transportive effect.
The restaurant is the first phase in a full-scale makeover of Beaufort House. The two upper floors, currently housing private dining and event spaces, are also slated for a complete renovation later this year, thereby expanding Kora's potential.
