The British meets Caribbean menu will be served at The Elgar Room.


Get ready for food and fun at the Royal Albert Hall. Kerth Gumbs x Elgar is coming to South Kensington, London. Running from 20 October to 30 November, guests will be able to enjoy a special menu created by the chef at The Elgar Room. If you’d like to have a creative culinary night out, here’s what you need to know. 

Originally from Anguilla, Kerth is a graduate of the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu. He rose to fame as the champion of BBC Two’s Great British Menu in 2020, and later returned to television as a judge on BBC Three’s Young MasterChef. Known for his bold, vibrant cooking, he brings a fusion of modern British cuisine with Caribbean flair.

Kerth Gumbs x Elgar is a nod to Kerth’s Caribbean heritage and culinary expertise. The pop-up menu promises a fun-filled culinary experience, which showcases seasonal produce. The menus start from £54 for two courses and £62 for three courses. Plus, there are vegetarian and vegan options available. 

Starters include Curried Goat with warm pita bread, Heritage Beetroot with marinated figs, and Salt and Pepper Squid with chilli. Mains include Grilled Mackerel with a tamarind glaze, Josper Grilled Venison with curried celeriac, and Spiced Kofta with grilled mushrooms.  

Desserts include classic concoctions. Carrot Cake is served with salted white chocolate. Eton Mess come with coconut meringue, vanilla Chantilly, mixed berries, fig, and sorrel coulis. Sticky Toffee Pudding comes with banana espuma and Biscoff crumb.
