Jeremy King’s Le Caprice is heading to the former United States Embassy.

The Chancery Rosewood is having a moment. The five-star hotel is home to a range of restaurants and has raised the bar for hospitality in the capital. Now, the arrival of a new restaurant, Le Caprice, has been confirmed –and here’s what to expect.

There have long been rumours that Le Caprice would open at The Chancery Rosewood, and it now appears the project is finally moving forward. The restaurant has begun advertising for new roles to oversee the creation of the flagship venue.

The modern European restaurant was originally located in St James’s. Speaking about the revival, Jeremy King said: “I want it to be chic, comfortable and classic. I think it’s fabulous to mix the old and the new — both in style, customers and in food.”

Le Caprice at The Chancery Rosewood is expected to be an all-day destination, complete with a terrace and a private dining room. The original menu famously featured dishes ranging from Bang Bang Chicken to Sorrel Fishcakes, and it garnered a firm following of fans.

Located in Grosvenor Square, on the former site of the United States Embassy, The Chancery Rosewood hotel already hosts a diverse collection of dining venues. If you can’t wait for Le Caprice to open, there are plenty of options to explore in the meantime.

Carbone pays homage to the timeless charm of Italian-American restaurants and was created by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick. The Eagle Bar offers rooftop views from an angle rarely seen in London and also doubles as a listening bar.

Serra brings Mediterranean cuisine into the spotlight and is led by Chef de Cuisine Alex Povall, formerly Executive Chef at FACT Dining Awards London nominee Berenjak in Soho. Meanwhile, Jacqueline offers more than just the name of a former First Lady of the United States. The tearoom is exquisitely elegant and bathed in a golden glow.
