The actor will open a Roman restaurant in Highbury.

Film and food have come together. The British actor Theo James has announced that he is opening a restaurant in London, Lupa. The Roman osteria draws inspiration from Italy, and will even serve porchetta sandwiches on Arsenal match days. Located in Highbury, it is scheduled to open in June.

Lupa has been created with Ed Thomas and Naz Hassan. Ed is the co-founder of the restaurant Carousel, which can be found in Fitzrovia. Naz will be at the helm of the kitchen, and previously worked at the restaurant Pidgin, which was located in Hackney. As for the name of the concept, it refers to The Capitoline Wolf statue in Rome, and the city’ mythical she-wolf creature.

Lupa will be open for weekend lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Sunday. The venue aims to be a small neighbourhood spot, and will only have 28 covers. The menu is designed for sharing and will change, as it showcases seasonal ingredients. Dishes range from Fior Di Zucca stuffed with anchovy and burrata, and served with a courgette dip, to Suppli Al Telefono with strings of mozzarella cheese.

Theo was born in England, United Kingdom. He is best known for starring in HBO TV series, The White Lotus, as the character Cameron Sullivan. He also starred in Guy Ritchie’s TV series, The Gentleman, and played the character Edward Horniman. Plus, he has featured in The Divergent Series, The Time Traveller’s Wife, and Underworld: Blood Wars.

Lupa in London will be open from Wednesday to Sunday.
