The team behind Electric Star Pubs have created Firestarter Grill.
Firestarter Grill looks set to light up London’s dining scene. Located near Liverpool Street, it is scheduled to launch in November. This marks the latest venture from Rob Star, who is behind Electric Star Pubs. If you’re looking for a hip hangout, here’s what you need to know.
The team created Firestarter Grill with the help of Chef Consultant Ricky Evans and Head Chef Leon Seraphim. The venue is focused around the kitchen, where guests can watch the chefs at work. Expect raising flames, drama and a whole lot of Insta-worthy stories.

The menu will include a Crab Doughnut with cowboy butter and smoked sriracha sugar, Espresso Tamarind Pork Ribs, and Yorkshire Wagyu Beef Tartare with tomato ponzu-cured egg yolk. The grill dishes will include sharing plates like a 1kg Galician Rib, Fire Roasted Cauliflower glazed with black garlic and red miso.
The signature dish will include a Smash Burger, cooked with smoked mustard butter and whisky-caramelised onions. Desserts also have a fire element, for example, the Wagyu Bone Marrow Crème Brûlée. Plus, cocktails include the Smoke and Mirrors with mezcal and bourbon.
If you cannot wait for the opening, then check out Electric Star Pubs. Created in 2008, the business first opened in Bethnal Green and now has seven locations around London. The other venues include Hackney Downs, Leyton Star, Liverpool Street and Shoreditch. Each spot has its own character and charm, and serves pub food and drinks.
