The cult Lima favourite lands in London with an intimate, ingredient-led dining experience.

The vibrant streets of Notting Hill have welcomed a fresh addition to their culinary lineup, and it comes with a serious international pedigree. Fan, the Lima-born Nikkei omakase concept that has quietly earned cult status in Peru, has officially opened in London, marking the brand’s first venture outside of Latin America.

Founded by three friends, Romania Parra, Jorge Sasaki and Santiago Wong, Fan began as a passion project in Peru just two years ago. What started as a humble effort to cook for friends quickly evolved into one of Lima’s most talked-about dining destinations, lauded for its inventive fusion of Peruvian, Japanese and global flavours. With two nominations as the country’s best Nikkei restaurant under their belt, the trio has now brought their creative culinary journey 10,000km west, right into the heart of W11.

Fan Notting Hill

Located in the leafy surrounds of Notting Hill, Fan London has debuted with minimal fanfare, allowing its food to speak for itself. The restaurant offers two dining options: an 11-course omakase menu, crafted around seasonal ingredients and signature techniques, or an à la carte selection for those who prefer to create their own culinary path. While the full omakase remains under wraps, early diners can expect standout dishes such as Ceviche Lima-Bangkok with ikura and coconut tiger milk, Ebi Emperador Nigiri, Scallops with squash butter, and Sweet Miso Maki with ebi furai.

True to its name, Fan London is about community and connection as much as cuisine. “Our journey has taken us from Lima to Santo Domingo, Panama City, and now London – a city that fuelled our dreams,” the founders shared on Instagram. “Now, we’re making it happen – and preparing to welcome new friends and FANmily.”
