The concept comes from the team behind Krododilos, Pinna and Wild.

What do the restaurants Krododilos, Pinna and Wild have in common? They were all created by restaurateurs George Bukhov-Weinstein and Ilya Demichev. Now, the same team will open Chelsea Grill in Chelsea, London. Scheduled to launch in November, here’s what you need to know.

Chelsea Grill will position itself as a neighbourhood restaurant on the historic King’s Road. The concept centres on three key elements – fire, smoke and top-quality ingredients. Leading the kitchen is Anton Vasilyev, formerly Executive Chef at the Basque restaurant Sugaar in Paris.

On Instagram, the team have shared images and videos of the site under construction. One caption reads: "Not long before the flames and smoke take over".

While the full menu is still under wraps, it will reportedly mirror Wild, with an emphasis on grilled dishes. Diners can expect fresh cuts of meat and fish sourced from the United Kingdom and Europe. Each dish will receive meticulous care. Vegetables will be cooked in ash overnight, and plans include dry-aged fish. The rotisserie will feature poussin that is brined overnight, dried for a day, and then cooked over the fire.

Desserts include a Cherry Pie. Drinks include a cocktail and a wine list. Cocktails include a Green Apple Gimlet, which has been made with an unexpected ingredient – Granny Smith apples, anyone?

For those eager to explore the team’s previous ventures, George and Ilya are behind venues including Goodman, Wild Tavern, Wild Corner, Wild in Notting Hill, Belvedere, Pinna, and Krokodilos.
