New York's two Michelin-starred Manhattan spot Atomix will pop-up at KOL.
One of the world's most celebrated dining destinations is heading to London this summer, for just one night. Atomix, the two Michelin-starred Korean fine dining restaurant from New York City, will take over the kitchen at KOL in Marylebone on Tuesday, 19 August, offering Londoners a rare opportunity to experience what has been dubbed "America's best restaurant."
Currently ranked No. 12 on The World's 50 Best Restaurants list, and the highest-ranked restaurant in North America, Atomix is the creation of husband-and-wife team Ellia and Junghyun Park. Known for its meticulously crafted tasting menus that reinterpret traditional Korean cuisine through a modern, experimental lens, Atomix has become a global standard-bearer for the new wave of Korean fine dining.
For its London debut, Atomix will collaborate with Santiago Lastra, the chef-founder of KOL, which itself holds a spot at No. 49 on the 50 Best list. Together, the chefs will present a special eight-course tasting menu, available for lunch from 12pm to 6pm, and dinner from 5:45pm to midnight, across two limited seatings. The collaboration promises an exceptional meeting of cultures and culinary philosophies, Seoul meets Mexico City via Manhattan and Marylebone.
Described by 50 Best as "the ultimate gastronomic manifestation of the K-wave phenomenon," Atomix has drawn praise for its deeply rooted, yet entirely modern take on Korean cuisine. Chef Junghyun Park's approach is grounded in tradition but elevated through meticulous technique, innovative presentation, and a minimalist aesthetic, offering diners a journey through Korean history, art, and identity.
This exclusive event also sets the stage for a more permanent arrival: earlier this year, the Parks announced plans to open Kiji, their first London restaurant, in Mayfair in 2026. The new concept will focus on Korean BBQ and promises to continue the couple's mission of sharing contemporary Korean dining with the world.
Atomix is the follow-up to the couple's first NYC restaurant, Atoboy, and offers a refined progression of their signature "new Korean cuisine." With a name derived from the ancient Korean word Ato, meaning "gift," Atomix delivers a culinary offering that's as thoughtful as it is original.
Given the scale of anticipation and the rarity of this pop-up, seats are expected to be extremely limited.
