The event takes place for one day only in Stoke Newington.
Film and food come together in an exciting event. A new Twin Peaks dining experience is opening in New River Café at Stoke Newington, London. Opening on 18 June, it draws inspiration from David Lynch and Mark Frost’s TV series, and celebrates the show’s 35th anniversary.
For one day, New River Café will be transformed into the show’s Double R diner. The event has been brought together by the Mam Sham crew and Hot Sauce Presents, who are behind immersive experiences. Arrive early, as the diner will not be taking reservations and will operate on a drop-in basis only. The menu pays homage to the show and will boast coffee and cherry pie, and there will be a chance to win Twin Peaks items at this London pop-up.
If you want to rewatch the show, Twin Peaks (1990) and Twin Peaks: The Return (2017) are streaming on MUBI from 13 June. Twin Peaks is an American mystery show, which ran for two seasons. Twin Peaks: The Return marked the return of the franchise, after 25 years off-screen. The show’s original writers worked on the show, and Lynch directed every single episode. The show picked up from season two’s cliffhanger ending.
