Get your skates on. During the festive season, London is filled with exciting ice places to go ice skating, from the Natural History Museum to Somerset House. Now, Glide at Battersea Power Station is bringing back its cool ice rink concept. Here’s what you need to know about the exciting skating experience. 

Running from 7 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, the open-air ice rink at Battersea is situated in the Grade II-listed power station. Construction on the station began in 1929 and has since remained an iconic feature of the London skyline.

Glide at Battersea Power Station offers an exciting experience, featuring interconnecting ice rinks and London’s only skate trail. At the heart of the rink is a Christmas tree. The experience welcomes everyone, from couples on a date night to families seeking fun, and from beginners to pros, with penguin skate aids available to assist those who need them.

The site includes old-school fairground rides, live entertainment and photo boothsThe Glass House is a cosy bar serving drinks, and entertainment includes pub quizzes, themed music nights, DJs and live bands.

Glide at Battersea Power Station Ice Rink

If you’re looking for a private experience, then the igloos are the perfect place to warm up post-skate. The igloos boast views of Battersea Power Station and are warm spaces, complete with blankets and lights.

Make a day and night of your visit to Battersea Power Station. The area is home to 120 shops, bars, cafes, entertainment venues and restaurants, including the fantastic food hall ARCADE. Experiences include Lift 109, Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza, Le Bab, Roti King and Where the Pancakes Are.
