The event takes place at Grand Junction in January.
Step into the wonderful warmth of Arab Christmas by Candlelight at Grand Junction, located on Warwick Avenue. On 7 January 2026, you can enjoy an evening of music and tradition, all by the gentle flicker of candlelight in this atmospheric venue. If you’d like to get hold of tickets, here’s what you need to know.
Arab Christmas by Candlelight will present songs in a range of languages. Expect music that draws on Arabic, Byzantine, Coptic and Syriac traditions, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of Queen Zenobia’s Palmyra in the 2nd century CE.
Arts Canteen, founded in 2010, is behind this special festive event. The team is dedicated to showcasing the creativity of Arab artists around the world. Their events welcome both emerging and established talents, aiming to create a vibrant, community-centred experience.
The event takes place at Grand Junction, an arts and cultural venue based at St Mary Magdalene’s Church. The venue hosts a variety of performances throughout the year, celebrating arts, music and heritage. Look out for a range of shows, which are aimed at children, families and adults. Plus, there is a charming café overlooking Little Venice and its waterway.
Doors for Arab Christmas by Candlelight open at 7pm. Guests will be able to enjoy a drink at the bar, which offers a selection of craft beer, wine, soft drinks, and snacks. The performance begins at 8pm and lasts for approximately two hours. Tickets are available now and start from £22.
