The collaboration will take place over four days in Brick Lane.
London’s East End welcomes a fusion of two Middle Eastern streetwear brands this August, as Medina and Shabab launch a joint pop-up on Brick Lane. Running from 21 to 24 August, the four-day takeover offers fashion enthusiasts the chance to discover unreleased pieces, community spirit and the debut of an exclusive collaboration between the two brands. Open from 10am until late, it’s a limited-time opportunity to explore the stylish streetwear.
At the heart of the launch is a collaborative piece that encapsulates both brands’ creative DNA. The garment pairs Shabab’s artisanal construction techniques with Medina’s love for texture, resulting in a layered, faded, stone-washed T-shirt elevated with an intricate crochet long-sleeve. The design is more than just a collector’s item, blending craftsmanship with contemporary urban aesthetics.
Medina has earned its reputation for pushing the boundaries of streetwear by reimagining wardrobe staples with bold colours, textured fabrics and experimental cuts. Drawing inspiration from North African heritage, its pieces often feature Arabic calligraphy, Tatreez embroidery and crochet detailing. Expect to find an eclectic mix at the pop-up, ranging from cotton jackets, bomber silhouettes, and camo hoodies to lighter layers, such as polos, cotton-blend shirts, and knitted cardigans.
Meanwhile, Dubai-based Shabab International brings its minimalist yet playful edge to the mix. Founded in 2014 by creative director and photographer Cheb Moha alongside his sister, Zaineb Hasoon, the brand champions accessible, unisex basics infused with a streetwear sensibility. Their signature pieces include T-shirts adorned with vibrant artworks and calligraphy, bowling shirts, neon accessories and statement sunglasses. What sets Shabab apart is its ability to make simplicity resonate with global audiences while retaining a distinctly Middle Eastern identity.
Together, Medina and Shabab are placing heritage, craftsmanship and community at the forefront. Their London pop-up offers a cultural meeting point, where fans can experience the vibrancy of Middle Eastern creativity in one of the world’s fashion capitals.
The pop-up takes place at 123 Bethnal Grn Road in East London.
