The department store will collaborate with Fashion Trust Arabia.
The world-famous store Harrods will support upcoming designers from the Middle East and North Africa. From July, the extended collaboration with Fashion Trust Arabia will see Harrods spotlight the FTA Prize winners by turning its space into a global opportunity for these new creatives.
The designers include: Qatari Yasmin Mansour, known for her avant-garde evening wear; Nadine Mosallam, who draws from her Egyptian heritage to create beautiful garments; Ramla, who creates sustainable Egyptian accessories; and APOA, a Saudi jewellery brand known for their unique sculptural designs.
The collections will be available in-store and online, giving them great exposure in a space that has a consistently high footfall. Placing these designers in plain sight of an international audience, their work will be visible, credible and accessible for all.
Harrods’ collaboration with FTA will support its wider vision to nurture the next generation of high-fashion consumers while consolidating its link to the MENA region’s luxury consumer.
Simon Longland, Director of buying at Harrods, said: “Our partnership with Fashion Trust Arabia represents an ideal convergence of emerging talent and established figures in the luxury industry. We take great pride in supporting these designers not just through mentorship, but through real retail opportunities. We believe the Harrods customer is ready – and eager – to discover and embrace their work.”
FTA co-chair Tania Fares, added: “Our mission has always been to champion designers from the MENA region by opening doors to meaningful opportunities. Harrods’ continued support goes beyond retail - it’s a powerful endorsement that gives our winners global visibility and a platform to grow sustainably.”
Harrods hosted a private breakfast preview of the collections, hosting press, buyers, and fashion icons for an exclusive peek at the designers’ work.
