Gissah will be located on Oxford Street in London.
London’s fragrance scene is set to welcome a new arrival from the Middle East. The luxury perfume house Gissah will open a store on Oxford Street in London. FACT spotted the hoarding on the world-famous shopping street, and here’s what you need to know.
Founded in 2019 in Kuwait, Gissah has grown into one of the region’s most recognised fragrance brands and is popular across the Middle East. The name translates to "story" in Arabic and reflects the brand’s philosophy that every scent should tell a narrative inspired by heritage, emotion and imagination. Each fragrance is designed to evoke a distinct mood or memory and aims to blend tradition with modernity.

Today, Gissah operates more than 180 stores worldwide, with locations in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. Now, the upcoming Gissah store on Oxford Street in London marks a significant step in the brand’s international expansion and looks set to bring it to a new audience.
Gissah is known for combining classic Middle Eastern ingredients such as oud, amber and warm spices. The scents have a contemporary composition, and the brand has built a reputation for rich, sophisticated scents that appeal to both men and women.
Its popular fragrances include Akoya, a popular unisex perfume that balances citrus and fruity notes with warm woody depth. The scent opens with bergamot, orange oil and raspberry before developing into a heart of caramel, lavender and jasmine, finishing with patchouli and sandalwood for a smooth, lingering base. Other creations include Calabria, a woody and spicy fragrance featuring pink pepper, green apple and bergamot layered over amber wood and vetiver.
