The streetwear brand BAPE is celebrating its 30th anniversary in style. To mark the occasion, it has launched a new collection inspired by London. So, if you want to join the fun, check out the graphic T-shirts, magnets, lanyards and pins.

BAPE’s 30th anniversary collection includes graphic T-shirts with the ape logo and text on the front, and Japanese letters on the back. The ape logo can also be found across caps, hoodies and trainers.

The London-inspired motifs include caps with The Queens’ Guard crossed with an ape, and magnets featuring an ape riding a London taxi. The colours are suitably British – red, white and blue can be found across items, from a bucket hat to plaid sweat shorts. Plus, there are Union Jack prints.

BAPE, also known as A Bathing Ape, is a Japanese brand. The name is a nod to Japanese people bathing in lukewarm water, and how it’s a sign of laziness if you stay in longer. The former fashion writer and stylist, Tomoaki Nagao, founded the company in 1993. The collection covers men’s, women’s and children’s lifestyle and streetwear.

Now, BAPE can be found around the world, as there are stores in Dubai, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles and more. Over the years, the brand has collaborated with adidas, Campus 80 and Forum 84 Low. Plus, Tomoaki is the co-owner and head designer of Pharrell Williams’ clothing brand, Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream.

BAPE’s 30th anniversary collection is available online and in the Central London store.
